Well, we don't know much, actually. According to recent press releases, the game will be a full PC MMO, with website flash applications - all interacting with the same world. There's talks of being able to connect to this world no matter where you are - as long as you have an internet connection (a la mobile phones). So even though you may be in your PJ's sipping a nice cup of Joe sitting at your PC - your foe may be playing against you on their cell phone during a boring management meeting.
An example "mini-game" given for the MMO was the classic Snake game (check your graphic calculators, cell phones, and finally, a little game called "Meerca Chase" - if you've never heard of Snake). You control a creature to eat as much as possible, and if it eats enough, it'll come to life. It will then be sent out into the MMO world to attack others, gain experience, etc.
There's also talks of blending the game with a social networking aspect (MySpace/Facebook/etc). Your page may update when you beat a hard boss, find rare treasure, etc.
The game will be supported by $10 or lower subscriptions. Some content will be available to non-subscribers. There will be additional revenue from purchases of aesthetic items, such as visual character modifications or furniture for your house. These items will have no bearing on the character's powers.
We also know that the game will features meteors... hence the name of our current site.
The game is still early in development, so all of this is subject to change, and we're sure there is still a LOT more to learn about this gem - hopefully being released in early 2009.
