Random Updates 11.9.08

The Caption Contest has been judged and a new contest is up. The new game, Runebreaker, has more levels and you can now send in Meteorites for playing the game. Also, more screenshots have been added, the Fan Art Competition has been judged again, and Concept Art of Elevere Forest and Petiole have been added.

Halloween Updates

First of all, the Scarlet Fever achievement has been changed. Instead of her having to win 5 times to get the achievement, she only has to win once. Good luck.

Next, one of the five new achievements wasn't working, so they fixed it. The Grey Day achievement is obtained by getting 50 combos of the dark grey sap blobs in boring mode. You must submit your score and go to th achievements page to get it.



A sneak peek of the game Runebreaker is available for you to play. It's a new version of a classic game. Have fun...also, the mysterious Avian is mentioned in the title...what could this mean? A new race perhaps?



Also, the Wraith has been added to the beastiary. These evil beings will surely ruin your adventure if you happen upon them. Hopefully this doesn't happen to you...or me...yikes.

Wolf and other Updates

The new addition to the Beastiary is the Wolf! These creatures hunt in packs and are competing for living space with the humans. There are also reports of mysterious lone wolves twice as large as normal wolves. What could be the secret behind these? Perhaps you'll have to find that out on a quest.

There are also two more Screenshots, four more pieces of Concept Art, a Wolf background, and some updated art for the Troll.

Updates 10.14.08

A new beast has been added to the Beastiary. The Sap Beetle feeds on the sap of the Elevere Forest and uses it as a weapon. Beware.



Also, they have launched a new competition. Can't draw or write long stories? Do you have a sense of humor? Then the Caption Competition is the competition for you.

Disappearing Achievements?

Don't worry like I did. It's happening to everyone and for a very good reason. There's this sweet new feature that allows you to choose what you want to be displayed!

3 PM Site Shutdown

Trying to get into Twin Skies at around 3 PM and it's not working for you? Don't worry! It's not just you and it's not unexpected. redshadow on announced on the Twin Skies forum that for about an hour today (starting at 3), the site will be down because he's going to be running some webserver upgrades. Things may be a little crazy after the upgrades, but should be back to normal fairly soon.


Little Birpy says "Don't worry! Be happy! Twin Skies will be back soon!"

As of 4:50 PM, the site is still down. It appears as though the upgrades are taking longer than originally thought.

Sap Refinery & Psijack

Before posting news concerning these fun new games, I just want to let you know that Twin Skies has shelved Impit Attack. They'll be creating a better game with the same assets and animations.

Now for the fun stuff.

Sap Refinery is a fun new game where you make combos of 3 or more sap splots to make them disappear. There may be items hidden in the sap that will create something strange to happen. You cannot earn meteorites for this game yet.



Psijack is your standard game of 21, except as you play, your psychic abilities go up making it easier to figure out what the dealer has in his hand.

Running Man?

Anyone who's visited our Meter Cam Forum is well aware of who Running Man is and exactly how that craze started. So imagine my surprise when I came across the newly posted Shoal Graveyard Screenshot.

This is a good example of the fact that the developers of Twin Skies are willing to make a number of fan-created ideas happen. On behalf everyone at UTS, I thank the Twin Skies staff for carrying on the legacy that is Running Man.

Flower Hound Released

We've been seeing images for a long time, but the Flower Hound has finally been released. This animal is agile, quick, and fierce. A Floramancer would be wise to have one at her side while going through dangerous terrains.



No worries, fellow Wardens. We'll be learning about some of our conjured animals sometime next week.

Get the score 2,468 in any game to obtain this achievement.

If you get a score of 90,210 on any game, you'll be getting this shiny achievement!

The 1,609m High Club

A new Achievement has been found! Get a high score of 1,609 (the end of the game) in Salabounding. Good luck!

New Achievement for Plaice Your Bets

Salty Sea Dog
Arrrr, five fishermen in a row!

The image doesn't show as of yet, but the achievement can be earned by playing Plaice Your Bets and getting five of the fishermen (or wildcards) in a row.

Lots of Updates 9.25

Don't have the hand for drawing or other forms of art for the art contest? Well, if you have an imagination and a knack for writing, the new contest at Twin Skies may be the one for you. Twin Skies has opened a Creative Writing Contest for everyone to take part in.

Four new achievements have been released. Two of which involve the new games that have been released and one that will be just a matter of time. One of them, Scarlet Fever, is a 25-pointer that you will get if you correctly guess the Scarlet Mallard as the winner of the Shoal Duck Race 5 times.

The site currency is now named "Meteorites." Eventually 1,000 Meteorites will equal 1 Meteor.

You can now earn Meteorites by playing Salabouncing. Also, a familiar soundtrack has been added to the game.

A jackpot high-score board and a list of winning combinations have been added to Plaice Your Bets. You can now choose five lines instead of three for more losing pleasure.

You can now read a brief description and see the title art for the new game coming out, Impit Attack.

And finally, two new backgrounds, new buddy icons, and a new fan art contest have all been released/judged...respectively.
